Additionally, this year at Baselworld 2016, the brand released a brand new in-house automatic calibre with peripheral oscillating weight. The new calibre CFB A2000 was fully conceived, designed and developed in-house. This new calibre will be the base for Carl F. Bucherer's creations moving forward. The first watch to be powered by this new movement —in a variation with date function as calibre CFB A2050—is the new Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral. The new Manero Peripheral combines sophisticated modern engineering with classic watchmaking.
With the presentation of the new Manero Peripheral timepiece, Carl F. Bucherer is consolidating its reputation as an innovative manufacture brand. It also marks the launch —after several years of innovation work— of the CFB A2000 caliber series, designed and produced entirely in the watchmaker’s own development workshops. The CFB A2050 movement was specially developed on the basis of the CFB A2000 for the new Manero Peripheral. In addition to its central hours and minutes hands, the new Manero displays the small seconds at 6 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock.

The new in-house CFB automatic movement A2050 draws its energy from a double-sided self-winding mechanism with peripheral rotor. A design principle that Carl F. Bucherer brought into serial production with its CFB A1000 movement has thus been adapted for the new CFB A2050 Manufacture caliber, which, with its linear design, is both technically and visually characteristic of the brand. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph to provide a power reserve of 55 hours when fully wound.
On the wrist, the watch wears smaller than its actual size but quite nicely and comfortably.
